DO YOU CHARGE FOR A DIAGNOSIS? No. If you bring your equipment to us, we spend up to 15 minutes to provide a FREE immediate diagnosis as well as a firm estimate. No appointment is necessary. Just stop in Monday through Friday between 8am and 6pm.
WHAT ARE YOUR RATES? Strike Twice does not want to be the low‐cost leader in computer repair. We pride ourselves on fast, professional service. (Do you want the cheapest surgeon?) Our 30 years of experience and resources help us solve problems faster than others, so we may be cheaper overall. We charge a minimum of $70 to fix your computer within 3 business days. We charge a little more for same‐day or next‐day service.
HOW SOON CAN YOU FIX MY COMPUTER? We can fix your computer as soon as the same day. We charge a little higher rate for same‐day or next‐day service. Or wait 3 days and enjoy our reduced rates. Emergency service is also available after hours, weekends and holidays.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING YOU? If you are bringing a desktop computer, we do not need the monitor, power cord, keyboard or mouse unless you feel that is part of the problem. We just need the "box" itself. If you are bringing a laptop, do not forget the AC power cord.
DO YOU GUARANTEE YOUR WORK? We guarantee all of our service work for 30 days and our parts for 1 year. Also, if we can't fix your problem, we don't charge you.
ARE MY FILES AND EQUIPMENT SAFE AT YOUR OFFICE? Yes, we have an alarm system at our office and a separate locked workroom. Each workbench is backed by a battery backup and surge protector. We often "clone" your hard drive before we begin, and we securely wipe those backup drives when done. If you have a trade-in, we securely erase your files .
CAN YOU FIX MY COMPUTER AT MY PLACE? Yes, we can fix your problem at your location, especially if it's an Internet or network issue. We charge a trip charge plus a one‐hour minimum. Some problems may be fixed faster at our office, where we have access our tools.
DO YOU FIX LAPTOPS, MONITORS OR PRINTERS? We repair laptops, including broken screens, cooling fans, keyboards and hard drives. We don't usually fix printers and monitors, since they are so inexpensive and easily replaced. We do fix printer software issues.
CAN YOU RECOVER LOST FILES OR PASSWORDS? We have invested thousands of dollars in tools to recover failing hard drives, corrupted or deleted files, and lost passwords. In fact, we often can clone a failing hard drive onto a brand new drive without you having to reinstall your software or lose files. We charge a one hour minimum to attempt recovery.
WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT? We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express as well as gift and debit cards. We give a 5% discount if paying with cash (not checks).
DO YOU PROVIDE PHONE OR REMOTE SUPPORT? We provide FREE phone supportto existing customers if the questions are five minutes or less. If the call takes longer, we charge a half‐hour minimum of $95and by the quarter hour after that. If we cannot solve the problem over the phone, we will waive the charge if you hire us to fix your problem. We also can do remote support, but we prefer to feel, see, hear, and touch your computer. If you want remote help, go to our web site and pick “Download Remote Help.” Call our office with the remote code and password so one of our technicians can access your computer and fix your problem.
